For those of you who visit linuxdynasty everyday, you might have notice some subtle changes in the authorization aspect fo the site. I had to enable captch images in the login, and posting parts of the site. Since for the past few weeks, spammers have been hitting the comments and forums section. I'm hoping this does not annoy everyone, but the spamming is starting to really annoy me.

Hello Dynasty, I am fairly new to VMWare and have been struggling with what I
believe is a NIC problem. I have 1 broadcom onboard NIC and a dual port intel
PRO/1000 MT adapter. When I add a 3rd NIC to the environment I run into
communication issues.

I have 1 NIC for MGMT network
1 NIC for VM Servers
1
NIC for internet connection

on my 2k3 server I have 2 NIC's, one for local
and the other for internet. I am able to ping and resolve public DNS VIA cmd
prompt but only get partial loads or bad request from websites.

If I move the
NICs around I can get the internet to work but am not able to add other physical
servers (another physical box connected to same switch that VM network is
connected to)to my VM domain even though I can resolve and ping.

Are these
the type of problems that could be caused by the NIC reordering issue?

This issue, does not seem like a nic reordering issue. If it was a NIC
reordering issue, you will have no connectivity what so ever. If that was the
case then my script would help.

I would need alot more information, to help you
debug this information. if you want to continue this chat, please post in the

There is a do not notify button in the comments section right after the email
section.
Only registered users can write comments!
